Maria Kostylew

Maria is a research manager, specialising in AI governance. She’s pursuing a PhD in political science at the University of Oxford. Before joining MATS, she has worked at the Centre for European Policy Studies, with a focus on EU AI policy and deliberative democracy. She has previously co-organised a number of technical alignment programs and retreats, including an iteration of MLAB at Oxford and the Schelling residency.
