Tali Jona

Tali is a Research Manager at MATS, specializing in AI governance. Before joining MATS, she spent four years at the U.S. Department of State, where she helped draft the Department’s first ethical AI policy and served as the director of innovation in the Office of the Secretary. She’s pursuing a PhD in Information Science at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on AI alignment and trust in democratic institutions. She received her BA from Northwestern University and her MSc from the London School of Economics.
