Srija Chakraborty

Srija is a Research Manager at MATS. She received her PhD from Arizona State University focusing on machine learning for satellite data. She then worked at NASA Goddard as a postdoc on ML for earth science and later as a research scientist (AI/ML PI) at USRA/NASA, contributing to NASA’s AI-driven science, fine-tuning and red-teaming efforts. More recently, she has been interested in the broader impact of AI and in assessing vulnerabilities in the AI lifecycle to improve AI safety and governance. At MATS she contributes to that by supporting AI safety research scholars and mentors.
