Fred Bruford

Fred is a research manager at MATS in London, providing technical guidance and coaching to help MATS fellows do great research and get the most out of the program. Prior to MATS he worked as a ML research engineer in the music and music technology industries and completed a PhD working on AI-assisted music creation at Queen Mary University in London. He's excited to apply his expertise in applied machine learning research and research management in industry to support fellows advance research in AI safety.
