Lovkush Agarwal

Lovkush is a research manager at MATS London, where they provide technical guidance to scholars across multiple alignment research areas. They first heard about existential risks from AI in the mid-2010s, but only decided to pivot their career with the recent rise of LLMs. In 2024 and 2025, Lovkush upskilled by taking part in various programs (e.g. ML4Good, SPAR, AI Safety Camp, ARENA, Algoverse) and helped TA a few too (ML4Good, ARBOx, BlueDot, ARENA). They have a background in pure mathematics (MMath and PhD, 2008-2016), then lectured maths (2017-2020), and was a data scientist (2021-2024).
