Christian Schroeder de Witt is a Research Fellow and Stipendiary Lecturer at the University of Oxford, UK. He is known as a founder of the field of multi-agent security, which entails anticipatory research on the security implications of interacting AI, humans, and institutions. Within this space, Christian's work ranges from undetectable threats (i.e. secret collusion) and the limits of oversight all the way to practical disinformation detection. His breakthrough in perfectly secure steganography was featured as a 2023 Biggest Discovery in Computer Science by Quanta Magazine, and Scientific American. Christian has also appeared live on BBC News, and he is regularly consulted on policy topics by leading media and thinktanks.
